Martin & The New Songrise write, co-write and share songs shaped by the present - but we stand on a legacy of emancipatory songs and voices of freedom and social justice. We are less concerned with “hits” and more concerned with what may be “striking."

A touchstone for Martin & The New Songrise is singer and songwriter Martin Høybye’s PhD work on personal and collaborative songwriting.

A team of alternating musicians who know how to work “on the song's own terms” help us carry the TNS vision forward (e.g. Jan Thomsen, Dennis Ahlgren, Peter Dombernowsky, Ida Gormsen, Jeppe Juul Jepsen, and more).
