As a result, the combination of geopolitical tensions and accelerating environmental crises appears overwhelming.
“Forgiveness” is a call to end injustices and systemic violence done to those who are disempowered and do not have the upper hand. It reminds us that positions of power come with responsibility for the greater whole.

Drawing on gospel soul – with a blues-infused edge
Referencing strong gospel and Motown influences, yet delivered with a seething blues-infused edge, the song is driven by singer and songwriter Martin Høybye’s vocal. It feels as if it comes both from the vantage point of the mountain he sings of and from the fountain of love he urges listeners to take heart from, a fountain that can quench all despair.
